TEST: Black History Month research

This slideshow contains a list of prominent African-Americans throughout US history across the following categories:

TEST DETAILS

1. You are to choose 2 from each category (12) PLUS any 2 "wild card" picks (can be from any category), for a TOTAL of 14 individuals.

2. Research each individual you selected. Your test submission must include the following information:

Date of birth (and death, if they are no longer alive)
Where they were born
What they are famous for (achievements, milestones, awards, etc.)
At least one quote of theirs that speaks to their life in America during their time AND/OR their views on civil rights as an African-American. If you cannot find a direct quote, you may use something from their writings at the time.

GRADING NOTES

DO NOT plagiarize. This is non-negotiable and plagiarism will result in serious point deductions and/or automatic 0s.
You may submit in written format in paragraphs or bullet points, or you may submit a Google Slides (must be shared on Canvas using Google LTI 1.3 tool from the Submissions page).
