Skill #3: I understand the use of global themes, symbols, and subject matter in art.
1. Go to Google Drive and open the notes that you took on Artist 2
2. Click "File" - "Make a Copy" and title the new copy "YourName Artist 2 Essay" Example: Lampson Artist 2 Essay
3. Organize the notes you took. You can do this by grouping bullet points together that are about similar information. For example use "cut" and "paste" to move all of the bullet points together that have to do with how the artist grew up. Or maybe, you have a lot of information about the type of artwork that your artist makes that you can group together. The groups of information you have will be different depending on the artist you chose.
4. After you arrange all of your information into groups, think about the flow of your essay. Each of those groups of information could be a paragraph. What should the order of your paragraphs be? Your first paragraph could be an introduction of the artist with basic information about who they are, where they're from, etc. Your last paragraph could be your opinion of their artwork and why you feel the way you do.
5. Begin using your notes to write your essay using full sentences. You can delete your bullet points as you use them to create sentences.
6. When you are finished, read your essay out loud to yourself. By reading it out loud, you are more likely to catch mistakes.
7. Submit your essay here.
