Using an online tool called Piktochart Links to an external site., create an infographic that educates the American public (and your fellow students) about the Supreme Court case you researched. I will explain how to register for this site in live class and on the recorded lesson for 2/17/21.
Be creative and interesting! Do not simply cut and paste from Parts 1 and 2 of case study. Your product must include the following informational elements:
- a title (use the name of your case)
- the central question/issue in the case
- historical background information
- Constitutional connections
- related precedents
- arguments on each side
- the decision reached by the Court (include the breakdown of the vote, along with an explanation of the majority decision)
If possible, include relevant, school-appropriate images, diagrams, charts, or graphs to add interest. Please define any terms that would not be considered general or prior knowledge. Since this in an informative visual, do not include any personal opinions in the infographic. You may, however, include information about how the Court's decision has impacted the United States in the years since the case was decided.
I have provided two sample infographics for your reference: Sample Infographic #1 Links to an external site. and Sample Infographic #2 Links to an external site..
Once your visual is completed, click the "Share" option, copy the link for the infographic, and paste it into the text box for this assignment. Once your link has been submitted through the text box, your assignment is complete! Special note: When sharing, please be sure the "Make this link public" option is turned on (see image below.) Otherwise, I will not be able to view your work.
