What was the purpose of the tax?
What items did it tax specifically?
What were the reactions by most colonist to the tax being imposed?

4. Salutary Neglect - was when the colonist had taxes to pay to the king, but those taxes were not enforced. Why did these new taxes anger the colonists so much?
