Reasons for Europeans to settle new land in the Americas

God -> Religious Freedom, practice their faith without persecution

Glory -> Gain fame/ notoriety, make a name for themselves 

Gold -> Economic wealth to be had if they could find it / create it

Land -> Claim land for their own. (Not much land to be had in Europe unless you were the first born son and inherited it from the family).
