Introduction - Content and Instruction (Cont.)
The Digital Content and Instruction competencies articulate important practices for creating effective digital decision making in your classroom. Demonstrating competency for this focus area requires an understanding of when and how to use digital tools and resources to impact student learning.
As you consider artifact submissions in each of the competency modules identified in this Focus Area, you may find that the same activity and/or artifact meets the expectations for multiple modules. For this reason, you may submit the same artifact to demonstrate skill for multiple modules. However, the artifact rationale should be different in order to appropriately reflect the focus of each competency.
For example, you may submit an artifact that demonstrates how students are encouraged to pursue their individual interests, preferences, and differences, while also demonstrating how you’ve evaluated and appropriately modified the form and function of the physical learning environment.
There are five competencies that will be explored in this Focus Area.
You may choose to work through these competencies in any order.
You must work through all 5 competencies.
